Dr. James C.K. Porter

C. Psych., BCBA

Dr. Porter is a registered Clinical and Counselling Psychologist with over 25 years of experience providing clinical services to children, adolescents, and adults with autism. Amongst many clinical projects, Dr. Porter is a clinical supervisor for DFO service providers for children with Autism in 6 of the 9 provincial regions. Dr. Porter also has extensive experience advocating for unfair policies for children with autism from the provincial government. Previously, he has been the president of the Ontario Association of Behaviour Analysis. Dr. Porter’s outlook as a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and psychologist who closely works with children is instrumental to Majestic Minds Mental Health & Autism Services vision and values. 

Raj Bacchus, MSW

Social Worker

Raj is a registered social worker under the Ontario college of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. With over 30 years of direct experience, Raj has worked with all populations including special needs. Raj uses several methods of traditional psychotherapies in her work, those including cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT), mindfulness practices, solution focused therapies and behavioural interventions.

She loves to work with children and families, to provide them with the support they need to create change, helping them achieve health and wellness. Raj promotes change in her clients by creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, where her clients feel safe to share. She works together with her clients to create goals and solve problems by creating healthy and maintainable coping skills, that will last long after therapy is complete.

Christina Shamsundar

Senior Therapist

Christina graduated Ryerson University in 2017 with a degree in Child and Youth Care. After graduation she quickly obtained a position as a ABA therapist in the private sector and loved seeing children on the Autism Spectrum learn and develop using ABA practices. With her passion, drive, and ability to think ‘outside the box’ when working with kids, she became a Lead Therapist shortly after.

She also has experience working with kids on the Autism Spectrum in the School Board setting. Christina puts her heart in her work and tends to each kids needs on a individual level, taking her time to identify the needs of children, and encourages individuality and independence. She believes that every child has the right to quality education, and believes learning should be fun.

 

Uzma Imran

Program Coordinator

Uzma has over fifteen years of experience working directly with children on the autism spectrum disorder. Uzma has a specialization in behavioural sciences with a background in psychology and early childhood education.

Uzma is very fun, friendly and caring. Uzma always puts her clients and families first, always catering to their needs. She always finds a fun and interactive way to engage her clients to ensure their goals are met. Uzma is an amazing asset to the Majestic Minds team and has many plans to see her clients grow and flourish in their own unique ways.
